OMG! IT'S BACK!!

I'm sorry but this is defiantly a BIG deal! 'LOST' is back at the end of the month, trailers have been creeping in over the past month and apparently it is going to be 'the penultimate season' according to Digitalspy. Now, I guess a lot of you are sitting there thinking what is the big hype or I missed like half an episode so now it doesn't make sense (can I just say that is your own fault and there are ways around that it is this thing called the internet, it is quite big in the States, like LOST) or it's all out context but aren't most ground breaking television shows nowadays, we lock people into a house for 9 weeks and watch them ridicule each other for god's sake, how can we not accept that an island is a being and is all mystical and stuff. It is one of those shows that is like Marmite but should actually be like butter, something that the majority use. It is on our British screens at the back end of this month so I would advise that if you haven't watched any of LOST, a) you're missing out and b) catch up online, go to whatever LEGAL website you need to to get your fix and watch four seasons of the best show on the planet. Over and out!

First things first, Hi Dan, congratulations on setting up your blog and getting things up and running.

I'll have to be honest though and say that my interest in Lost waned after the 2nd series, as it began to be clear to me that the writers barely had a grip on what they where doing with the story and which direction they should take it.

The constant shifting forwards and backwards in the timeline and the lack of clarity regarding things hindered them more than in the first series (which I loved). I cared about the characters in the first series, but my malaise spread from the start of the 2nd series and I began to care less about their predicament and thought maybe it would have just been better if they'd succumbed to the black smoke or the polar bear (did that ever re-appear?) in the first series.

Either way I'm not going to be watching this series or bothering to catch up with anything I've missed out on. The american trend for making an amazing first series or two and falling off the wagon appears to be a spreading disease as I notice that Prison Break and Heroes even seem to be catching something similar. Yet programs like this are the high profile ones in the UK, there are others out there which maintained quality throughout their series' such as The Sopranos and The Wire.

Sorry to put that into a bit of a rant, but you posed the question and I felt the need to respond.

Anyways, good luck on the blogging front and all the best for the future!

Hello Andy thanks for the comment, think it's great to get a good blog on something!
I was very intrigued by your comment! The show is defiantly like Marmite, I think you either love it or hate it. Personally I love it, the amount of different genres in one programme is unrealistic but great! I understand the confusion and during the first two series the people in charge always said they didn't know how it was going to end or where they were going and that was the beauty of it! The actors right now still don't know how it is going to end...brilliant!
