I was searching the phenomenon that is the Internet for my latest consumption of entertainment news and I landed on a few different stories on the late Heath Ledger. Then, it dawned on me that it is nearly a year since his death...a year!! That has gone so quick, I mean I didn't know the guy but what a legend!
His death was a tragedy and his performances in his most recent films such as Brokeback Mountain, I'm Not There and the unforgettable Dark Knight were impeccable. According to Digital Spy the Entertainment Weekly has published a ten page tribute feature for Ledger with comments from previous co-stars such as Gary Oldman who said this about the star:
"I called a friend [on the first day of filming] and he said, 'How's Heath?' I said, 'He's breathtaking. He's going to be astounding.' I could tell just working for five minutes with him."
(from http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a142943/hollywood-stars-pay-tribute-to-ledger.html)
Brilliant! Heath Ledger was a true inspiration for the upcoming actors/actresses of today's Hollywood. The Best Supporting Act golden globe was a much deserved win for Ledger and I am sure he will remain in Hollywood's heart for decades to come.
His anniversary is on the 22nd January, all you respectful film lovers pen this in your diary!

OMG! IT'S BACK!!
I'm sorry but this is defiantly a BIG deal! 'LOST' is back at the end of the month, trailers have been creeping in over the past month and apparently it is going to be 'the penultimate season' according to Digitalspy. Now, I guess a lot of you are sitting there thinking what is the big hype or I missed like half an episode so now it doesn't make sense (can I just say that is your own fault and there are ways around that it is this thing called the internet, it is quite big in the States, like LOST) or it's all out context but aren't most ground breaking television shows nowadays, we lock people into a house for 9 weeks and watch them ridicule each other for god's sake, how can we not accept that an island is a being and is all mystical and stuff. It is one of those shows that is like Marmite but should actually be like butter, something that the majority use. It is on our British screens at the back end of this month so I would advise that if you haven't watched any of LOST, a) you're missing out and b) catch up online, go to whatever LEGAL website you need to to get your fix and watch four seasons of the best show on the planet. Over and out!

Guess who is the new Britain's Got Talent judge?!?!
Hey Hey! That's right the 'Strictly Come Dancing' brunette bombshell contestant that is Kelly Brook is back for another reality TV series - but on the judging panel! Yes, shes joins the Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden on this ground breaking TV show - I think called Britain's Got Talent?? If you ask me, 1. getting paid £200,000 to tell people whose dreams and aspirations are to become the next George Sampson that they CAN NOT dance or sing or juggle fire seems like a fair deal. And 2. Danny Cipriani is one lucky sod! I read on Telegraph.co.uk that she is already laying the law down through the audition process in places such as Manchester. However, the talent I will be looking out for because I do loooovvvveeeee and watch this show, is the best cat fight as Brook comes in surely Holden goes out?? A younger, more attractive judge must always be threating because that's what this industry is about! I mean look at X Factor as an example, Dannii Minogue was peeved when the gorgeous and sensational Cheryl Cole joined last series. Not that I have an obsession over Cheryl...yeah that's right I can use just her first name!!!
What do you think about the new B.G.T judge - good, bad, ugly, gorgeous, jealous? Comment below with your views, get involved!

Showbiz starts here
I am currently reading The Celeb Diaries by the all-seeing eye of celebrity gossip, Mark Frith. It has a Piers Morgan style approach from his book Insider but it is about Heat and brilliantly and most obviously about celebrities – hence the title, durrr! This is why I love it, I like many of you straight-minded guys out there love the world of showbiz and the celebrities in it and when I finish University this world, you’ll be glad to know, is my chosen career, Alleluia! However my career path and my philosophy of life are for another time, another place.
What I want to announce is that this book and Mr Frith himself has given me an idea, in fact given me inspiration to use this blog space to deliver to you, the beautiful audience that you are unless you are, well not beautiful but whose to say who is beautiful, badabing badabum! Anyway, to deliver you all things showbiz through stories, blogs, a collection of random facts, figures and hilarious quotes. It’s going to be fast, exciting and absolutely 100% just great!
